چکیده

To compare the effect of bioavailable gluconate-chelated stannous fluoride (SnF2) toothpaste with control toothpastes for treatment dentine hypersensitivity (DH) and enamel erosion. A Procter & Gamble Oral Care archive clinical studies was reviewed from 2000 to 2020. Eligible were Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) investigating SnF2 efficacy compared controls in adult participants measured following tactile (Yeaple force) and/or evaporative stimuli (Schiff score) in-vivo, duration <2 months (DH); or by erosive toothwear (profilometry) in-situ samples, 10–15 days. Two authors independently assessed eligibility resolved disagreements discussion. meta-analysis undertaken Risk Bias (RoB) using Cochrane collaboration RoB tool randomized parallel-group cross-over trials. Fourteen RCTs (1287 participants) DH relief Six (184 erosion protection. For provided a 57 % (evaporative air) 142 (tactile) benefit versus negative (sodium fluoride/monofluorophosphate, 8 studies; p < 0.001). Compared positive (potassium nitrate arginine, 6 studies), 22 advantage (p = 0.036) seen air. In studies, an 83 (arginine sodium fluoride; 0.001) change (95 %CI) average surface profilometry level (?m) -2.02(-2.85, -1.20). The use these toothpastes, as part daily oral hygiene regimen, will provide patients protection, combined alleviation pain when present, improving quality life.

Inhibition of enamel erosion by stannous fluoride containing rinsing solutions.

This in vitro study investigated the erosion-inhibiting properties of dental rinses during erosion in the presence of the salivary pellicle. The erosion inhibition by a Sn/F containing dental rinse (800 ppm Sn2+, 500 ppm F –, pH = 4.5) was compared with a fluoridated solution (500 ppm F –, pH = 4.5) and water(control). Calcium release and enamel softening were significantly reduced among enamel...

Effect of amine fluoride/stannous fluoride-containing toothpaste and mouthrinsings on dental plaque, gingivitis, plaque and enamel F-accumulation.

The aim of the study was to assess the effect of an amine fluoride/stannous fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash on dental plaque and gingivitis, plaque F- accumulation, F- content and acid solubility of dental enamel. Participants in the 12-week double-blind study were 92 schoolchildren, with a mean age of 12.4 years, randomly distributed to four groups: (1) AmF/SnF2 toothpaste, (2) placebo tooth...

nanoXIM•CarePaste: The Enamel Repair Ingredient Nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste vs Fluoride toothpaste in reducing dental hypersensitivity

Our teeth are constantly subjected to erosion caused by the action of food and drinks (1). These aggressions result in the exposure of dentinal tubules and the underlying nerves to the external environment. Consequently, external stimuli trigger the nerves causing a short and acute pain clinically defined as dental hypersensitivity (2). Individuals with this condition present tooth with open de...

Efficacy of Fluoride Compounds and Stannous Chloride as Erosion Inhibitors in Dentine

The aim of this study was to evaluate the anti-erosive effects of different fluoride compounds and one tin compound in the context of the complex pathohistology of dentine erosion, with particular emphasis on the role of the organic portion. Samples were subjected to two experiments including erosive acid attacks (0.05 molar citric acid, pH 2.3; 6 ! 2 min/ day) and applications (6 ! 2 min/day) ...
